Obituary of Michael Offerman

Michael Offerman, 70, of Rockaway, NJ passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover NJ after a long illness. Michael was born in Newark , NJ to the late Matthias Offerman and the late Elizabeth Mysiewicz, 

Michael was raised in Byram, NJ before moving to Rockaway. He was a graduate of Pope John High School in Sparta and served in the US Navy. He was employed by Quick Chek in Rockaway before retiring.  Michael was a character who enjoyed his music( he played the guitar), his friends, most especially his Cranberry Lake friends, reading and lively banter.

Michael  is survived by his brother Mark Offerman and his wife Joanne of Byram, his sister Elizabeth Robertson of Budd Lake New Jersey, his nephew Matthias Offerman and his wife Kelly, his grand nieces Amelia and Olivia and his great great nephew Matthias, all of Virginia, his nephew Kyle DeSerio of Washington Nj and his niece Kelly DeSerio-Capizzi of Parsippany and their families. He is also survived by his aunt, Sr. Eileen Shaw, SC of Convent Station, NJ and Uncle Jack Shaw of New Hampshire, as well as many cousins with whom he shared wonderful times.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Matthew Offerman in 2019.

Memorial Visitation at Tuttle Funeral Home,  Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10:30am -12:30pm .  Interment is private.
