Obituary of Hortensia Marquez
Hortensia Marquez, 98, of Randolph, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at her home. She was born in Havana, Cuba to the late Felix and Zoila Cordoba.
She fled communist Cuba in 1966 with family and lived in Venezuela for five years before establishing residency in the US. Immigrating from Cuba to Venezuela to Florida to New York and finally establishing her home in New Jersey for the last 30 years. She was a dressmaker during her life, and has made many beautiful designs. Throughout the years she has collected unicorns and sand dollars of all types. Her grandchildren have been her life and the focus of all her attention.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years Eduardo; daughter Hortensia Kozma and her husband Eric; two grandsons Justin and Zachary, and a yorkie named Belle.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, 11:00AM at St. Thomas More, Convent Station. Interment is private. All arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph.
