Obituary of Dawn Marie Cegelka
Dawn Marie Cegelka, 52, of Victory Gardens, passed away in the arms of her loving mother on June 12, 2024.
Dawn was born on April 29, 1972, to John S. Cegelka and Joan E. Cegelka in Denville, New Jersey.
While Dawn had medical conditions that caused her to not live a “normal life”, she still managed to live a happy, well-cared for life full of lots of love. She had a lot of sass and attitude when she wanted. She managed to leave a special mark on everyone who met her. Dawn made it known that her favorite color was pink. She wore it nearly every day. Dawn loved eavesdropping on conversations by pretending to sleep to gather all the gossip although she’d never share what she heard. She was the world’s best secret keeper. She enjoyed tormenting her sister on a regular basis which she learned how to do by watching her nieces argue. She especially loved when her brothers visited and all the noise and craziness that came along with their visits. Dawn loved listening to John Denver and enjoyed watching her TV shows, including Golden Girls and Everyone Loves Raymond. Dawn lived an exceptional life because of the love and dedication of her family, especially her mother, provided her over her short 52 years. She will be deeply missed.
Dawn is survived by her parents, John S. Cegelka and Joan E. Cegelka (Reese); her brothers, John S. Cegelka, Jr. and Joseph J. Cegelka; her sister, Denise A. Pluciniak; her nieces, Elizabeth Arias (Pluciniak), Rebecca Pluciniak and Makalila Cegelka, her nephew, Jakob Cegelka; her great-nieces, Jocelyn Arias and Kaslyn Celgelka; and her uncle, Ronald (Janice) Reese.
