Obituary of Ellen Arlene Hopler
Ellen Arlene Hopler 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, S.C.
She was born in Dover and was a graduate of Dover High School. Ellen was a Secretary to the Finance Director of Dover General Hospital. Ellen held various other secretarial positions in the medical field in New York State and South Carolina. Retiring in 1998.
She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 967 Harvey’s Lake, Pennsylvania.
Ellen is survived by her son; Scott D. Hopler and his wife Sharon Merrill of Elbridge, NY, her daughters; Darlene E. Hopler of Mine Hill, Robyne D. Hopler of Lake Hopatcong, Kawren D. Learn and her husband Douglas Learn of Lexington, SC, Virginia D. Hopler of West Columbia, SC, her grandchildren; William R. Goble or Rockaway, Samantha D. Lupo and her husband Michael Lupo of Stillwater, NJ., Niklas D. Lasso and his wife Kathryn of Newton, Joseph D. Hopler of Memphis, NY, Cody L. Hopler of Elbridge, NY, Brooke A. Hopler of Weedsport, NY, Daniel A. Learn of San Antonio, TX, Darrell R. Learn of Forth Worth, TX, Dylan M. Learn and his wife Tricia of N. Augusta, SC, Jessica N. Bell of W. Columbia, SC, Tylor P. Lodge of W. Columbia, SC. She is also survived by her 21 great grandchildren; Madison Goble, Giavanna Lupo, Sophia Lupo, Emerson Lasso, Maverick Lasso, Dawsyn Hopler, Madisyn Hopler, Colton Hopler, Dalton Hopler, Hudson Hopler, Garbriel Ryan, Sullivan Learn, Serenity Robbins, Harmony Sligh, Caelyn Sligh, Alayna Smith, Oakleighn Jeffcoat, River Jeffcoat, Braylin Jeffcoat, Ivey Lodge, Everleigh lodge. She is also survived by her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Indi. Ellen was predeceased by her husband Virgil D. Hopler in 2015 and her parents Ruth and Leon Egbert, her brother Leonard Egbert; her sisters; Beverly Dachisen and Judi Lovenberg.
