Obituary of Vialta D'Agostino
Vialta R. D’Agostino, 96, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, at Mt. Arlington Senior Living in Roxbury Township, New Jersey.
Vialta was born on December 16, 1927, in Six Mile, South Carolina to her late parents, Herbert and Ola Baumgarner. In 1953, she married her husband Raymond S. D’Agostino who became a huge part of her life. They spent sixty-one loving years together before his passing in 2014.
She is survived by her children: Ramona (wife Kayte) D’Agostino of Atlanta, Georgia, and Donna (husband Guido) Tardive of Hollywood, Florida. Vialta is also survived by her granddaughter Elizabeth D’Agostino of Vero Beach, Florida and her sister Pat Brown of Georgia. She is predeceased by her daughter Dolores (husband John) Lamanna, amongst six other siblings.
Vialta went to Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse for Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her life, Vialta had many hobbies that consumed her. Most predominantly, she loved to travel all over the world and experience new foods and cultures. To Vialta, eating delicious food counts as a hobby, and she had an appetite until the last day she was alive. She also spent her time sewing, reading books, and completing crossword puzzles. Vialta was a fan of football and was loyal to the NY Giants.
Vialta was known for being extremely selfless and was a pillar for everybody around her. Even at death, she was committed to making sure her family and friends were okay and comfortable.
A Visitation will be held between 12:00-1:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, with a Funeral Service to begin at 1:00PM. Interment will follow, taking place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wharton, New Jersey.
