Obituary of Theresa Helen DiPaolo
Theresa “Terry” Helen DiPaolo, a beacon of warmth and wisdom, passed away surrounded by her family on July 15, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, New Jersey. Born to William and Frances Ricigliano on February 29,1932 in Newark, NJ, where she grew up with her siblings, the late Josephine Piccolo and the late Dominick Ricigliano. Her childhood was filled with the simple joys of a Northeastern life, which laid the foundation for her strong nurturing and loving spirit.
In 1955, Terry married the late Rocco DiPaolo Sr, the love of her life. Their 53 years of marriage were a testament to enduring love celebrated in a one of a kind relationship. Together, they raised two remarkable children, Lisa and Rocco Jr. In 1956, her passion for beauty began when she founded Terry’s Salon of Beauty, later working alongside her husband. For over 40 years, Terry provided joy to her customers, with a talent for unmatched glamour and making them beautiful.
Terry’s life outside of her Salon was rich. One of her greatest joys was being an amazing grandmother to Brittany and Samantha. They will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
Terry often spoke about her adventures traveling the world with her husband Rocco to places like Italy and Spain. Even more, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved hosting holiday’s which were famous for many courses of Italian specialty dishes, hand-knit Christmas stockings and glamorous outfits.
Terry lived a vibrant life, full of laughter, happiness, and affection. She had a positive outlook on life until the end. Her overwhelming love and support will resonate in the hearts of those she touched forever.
Terry is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rocco DiPaolo Jr. and Marissa DiPaolo, grandchildren Brittany DiPaolo and her husband Brandon Silverstein and Samantha DiPaolo.
Services to celebrate Terry’s life will be held on July 17, 2024, from 4 to 7pm at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, NJ. Entombment will follow the next day on July 18, 2024, starting with a final viewing at 9am at Tuttle and mass at 10am at St. Matthew’s The Apostle Parish with the eventual stop at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. A reception will be held after the entombment service.
