Obituary of Franklin Egger
Frank Egger of Randolph New Jersey passed away suddenly in his sleep on August 6, 2024. He was only 68 years old.
Frank grew up in New Jersey with his parents, Paul and Helen Egger and his younger brother Paul, Jr. Growing up, he spent many happy summers with his aunts, uncles and cousins in Virginia, a place he fondly returned to whenever he could, as recently as a few weeks before his untimely death.
Although he was a history buff, enjoyed school and was an avid reader, instead of attending college after high school Frank joined the working world and he and his former wife got married and had 3 daughters, Jessica, Lauren and Stephanie.
Frank and Janet met in 1996 and they were married in 1998. No man appreciated his wife more than Frank appreciated Janet throughout their 26 years of marriage. Part of Frank’s charisma was that he wasn’t afraid to say so to anyone who was listening. Frank and Janet were devoted to each other and supported each other through thick and thin. He was a caring person with a huge heart who would never walk away from a family member or friend in need.
Frank was a proud member of IUOE Local 68 for 30 years. He was a hard worker on the job and at home, and was proud of the work he did. He loved spending time every summer on Long Beach Island enjoying the beach and surf fishing.
Frank was predeceased by his mother, and many of his aunts, uncles, and cousins in Virginia. In addition to his 3 daughters, Frank is survived by his wife Janet, her daughter Cristin and son-in-law Korey, his father and brother, Janet’s extended family in California, and his extended family in Virginia. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all, including his many friends and union brothers.
As Frank wished, there will be no memorial service. All arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).
