Obituary of Allen Jobeless
Allen Jobeless passed away on August 15, 2024, suddenly and peacefully in his sleep at Fallsview Residential Home, Boonton, NJ. He was born June 1, 1943, the son of Francis and Mary (Stager) Jobeless.
Allen graduated from Sparta High School Class of 1962. He fell in love young and married the love of his life, Eleanor Breda. The pair built a house together and settled in Hopatcong, NJ where they celebrated 47 years of wedded bliss. Allen was an incredibly hardworking man who worked for 40 years as a machinist and electrical engineer for DairyPak in Morristown, NJ. After retirement, they moved to the Jersey Shore to be by the ocean, a place they both adored.
Allen, also known to many as Butch or Butchie, was a renaissance man. He had many talents and hobbies- among them woodworking, furniture making, and creating beautiful digital photo albums and home movies for others to enjoy. He was an artist in a variety of mediums. Additionally, he enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings where he cooked and baked for his extended family and friends. He and Ellie shared a love of traveling and taking cruises. Bermuda and Walt Disney World were among their favorite places. Butch and Ellie had a love for each other like no other.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Frank and Ronald and sister Marie. Surviving is his eldest sister, Lorraine; his daughter, Dawn and husband Rafael of Sparta, NJ, son Scott Jobeless and wife Robin of Simsbury, CT; and his three grandchildren, Conor Jobeless, Zoe Jobeless, and Eleanora Vallejo, along with many beloved nieces and nephews who he held very close to his heart.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Netcong, NJ on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
