Ruth and I became friends at the Dover Presbyterian Church when we shared the responsibility caring for the children in the church nursery. This was probably in the late 1950s. Our friendship lasted through all these years. I was so sorry to learn that she passed away but my prayers will always be with her.

Dear Ruth’s aka GiGi’s claim to fame was her extraordinary age of 106. For us it was not how many years, but how she lived them. She was courageous, strong and lived with dignity. She had a great smile, a warm welcoming greeting and a wonderful attitude. She loved her family and enjoyed traditions. She wrote beautiful notes and her handwriting was exquisite. We treasure our relationship with her and our visits and long conversations. She was awesome in every sense and she will be remembered and missed always. Arleen and Manny Nussbaum

So sorry to learn of the
Loss of Ruth. Ruth was my Dad, Carl Webers first cousin.

My Aunt Ruth who was my grandmother’s sister, passed this week at 106! I have told many of you about her and she lived in her home with her granddaughter and her greatgrand children for years taking care of her.
I would think about the span of the years in her life form the time of WW1 through now. All of the changes she has seen in this world including the covid lockdown!
I have many memories of Aunt Ruth and family gatherings at her house, in her yard with the gardens, including the silver dollar plants…. The swing-set, clothesline and railings made of plumbing pipes, because my uncle was a plumber, gatherings at Cedar Lake, at Mimi and Poppy’s and at my grandmothers.
Families are spread all over now a days and kids grow up with very different experiences but I immortalized Aunt Ruth with our 4 bean salad we served constantly at our cafe’ …. This was her recepie that I remembered and loved at family gatherings and I would tell guests about Aunt Ruth if they commented on the bean salad. Rest in Peace Aunt Ruth.

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
