Obituary of Mattie May Moss

Mattie May Moss, born on December 8, 1966, in Warrenton, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on December 14, 2024, at the age of 58.

Mattie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Lina and Raymond Moss. She is survived by her four sisters-Thelma, Robin, Gene and Gail-her cherished niece Courtney, her devoted partner of 37 years George Hedinger, as well as an uncle, an aunt, and many cousins. 

Known for her compassionate heart and vibrant personality, Mattie brought joy to all who knew her. She was generous and loyal with a sharp sense of humor that could light up any room. A true ‘firecracker’, she lived life with passion and authenticity. 

Mattie had a deep love for animals and found joy in crafting, arts, film and reading. Her creativity and appreciation for beauty were evident in everything she did. Professionally, she served as an office manager at Berkshire Transportation in Sparta, where her dedication and hard work left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. 

A funeral service to honor Mattie’s life will be held on Saturday December 28, 2024, at 9:00 am at Tuttle Funeral Home, located at 272 State Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869.

Mattie May Moss will be remembered for the love she shared with those around her and the indelible mark she left on their lives. May her memory bring comfort to all who morn her passing.
