Howard came into my life over 30yrs ago as an assistant coach for our Randolph AAU boys' basketball team. He then became my assistant coach for the Women's basketball team at the County College of Morris, followed up by the boys' basketball team at Morris Catholic HS. What a ride we had, he was the calming force and voice of reason for all of our programs and taught me so much about self-control!! He always told me how much he learned from me about basketball, but I was the fortunate one who learned so much about life because of him. He was the most generous person, not only with his financial donations to all of our programs, but with his time (a volunteer coach). Our favorite times were when the game was over win or lose, we would go to the Black River Barn, Quiet Man or Smith's Tavern for our post-game review! There he would give me his opinion on what we could have done better, and he would listen to me rant about how certain players who didn't step up to help us get a victory. That all didn't matter in the end, because I learned from him that it is the relationships that we develop that matter the most! I was able to meet and spend time with his family, and Doris was in on most of our conversations! She taught me how to get him to stop Howard, Howard and Howard, three times in a row meant that was enough!! I got to spend time with his sons, Steve and Kurt, going to Monmouth University games sitting courtside which was one of his favorite places to be. They all made me feel like a part of the family inviting me into their homes and hearts! Thank you to the Smith's for sharing the man I truly cared for and loved like a father, friend and mentor and know he meant the world to me! RIP Howard your friend Cheg! 90/10

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
