John George, 91, a lifelong resident of Mount Hope, Rockaway Township, passed away Monday, April 11th, 2016, following a long illness.
He served in the U.S. Army, in the Battle of the Bulge, during WW II.
He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator at the Mount Hope Mine, from where he retired after over 30 years.
John was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Dover and the American Legion Post 344, Rockaway Township.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Marian (nee Struble); two daughters Donna George Margeotes and Cindy George; one and only beloved granddaughter Jessica Lascko; sister Helen Galovic and brother Andrew. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Visitation Thursday, April 14, 2016, 4:00PM-8:00PM, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). ;
Funeral Services Friday, April 15th, 2016, 11:00AM also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
