Obituary of Carl J. Heck

A funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Mr. Carl J. Heck, 94, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Care One at Madison Ave, Morristown after a long illness. He lived most of his life in Randolph. Mr. Heck was born in Jersey City. He worked as a Quality Control Supervisor at Mennen Company in Morristown, and retired in 1981. He loved creating things with his hands. He was proud of the wood working center he helped create at the Center for the Blind in Hernando, FL. He is survived by five daughters: Marjory Pocai of SC, Carolyn Diemer of Madison, Lois Meli of Montville, Karen McKinley of FL, and Alice Elio of NC; five sons: Carl of MS., Conrad of PA., Eric of DE., Roger of Dover, and Leif of Randolph. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Gunther of Butler, 27 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Predeceased by his wife Margaret of 58 years in 1995. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2009, 7-9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).
