Obituary of Raymond D. Billia

Raymond D. Billia, 75, Landing, NJ Raymond D. Billia passed away Saturday, July 9, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in NYC, he summered at Lake Hopatcong. He graduated from Power Memorial High School and NYC Community College. Raymond was a natural athlete starting with street hockey in his youth to becoming a pickle ball aficionado in his later years. He and his beloved wife Barbara loved the Lake, their boats, water skiing, and their garden. Barbara was the great love of his life and they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Together they traveled the world, being one of the first Americans allowed into China. Early in his career Raymond was manager of several NYC nightclubs including Maxine's, The Royal Box and the Stork Club. Later he became maitre 'd at Doubles in the Sherry Netherland as well as Filli Ponte. He is survived by his wife Barbara and his sister Darlene Billia as well as his niece Cynthia Sturm, 4 great nieces and one great nephew. Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph.
