Obituary of Daniel Guglielmini

Daniel Guglielmini passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, July 24th, 2023. Daniel, known as “Danny” by everyone, was born on August 25th 1944 in Salerno, Italy. He moved to the United States at 5 years old and grew up in Rockaway, NJ. He graduated from Morris Hills High School and immediately enrolled in the army and served in the Vietnam War.

Danny met his wife in 1973 and they married a year later. This was followed by NJIT, which he graduated from with a degree in engineering. Afterward he decided to get involved in his wife’s family business, Rockaway Market, which him and his wife grew into a successful wholesale food business for the entirety of his career.

Danny was a kind, gentle soul who loved history and cooking. He also loved to golf, which was a major passion for him. He was a family man who also adored his animals.

He is survived by his wife Marlene Guglielmini, his daughter Danielle and son-in-law Joseph Iapalucci and grandson Joseph, along with his brothers Carl Guglielmini and Pete Guglielmini. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Carlotta Stevalet.

He is lovingly remembered by his many  nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 also at the funeral home.

Entombment: Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.
