+ 1
And I can't forget, as much as my Dad enjoyed riding, (and going to the Chatter Box for bike night and the yearly Elvis Run, etc.), he enjoyed going to car shows around the area, enjoyed going to the Greenwood Lake Airshow and being on the beach surf fishing, looking for sea glass or just flying a kite. I'm grateful and glad to have enjoyed them with our Dad.
Also, putting up lights around the backyard of the house and the year-round white Christmas tree, I loved it.

Papa (Jones, Steamtown, Fajah),
I/we have many names for you as you did for us and many others, none more important though than Dad. Thank you so much for everything you did and for always being there for me and all of us. You worked so hard, yet always made time to give me/us a great childhood and many memories and fun times, even through our adult years, all the way until the end. Thank you for teaching me things and doing things together, whether it was going for rides on the bikes (even though mine wasn't a Harley), watching sports (mostly football, but even golf and baseball, etc), teaching me how to shoot craps when we would go to AC (he always thought i would be a lucky roller), fixng things, yard work, playing cards, dunking foodstuffs (biscottis, donuts, cookies; you really liked toast) into coffee...the list can go on and on. I'm missing you so much already and will always be looking for you. My heart is broken. I hope I/we did you proud. Years ago you showed me where your plot was and jokingly said (as you could always make a joke out of any situation) you'll be overlooking the town, enjoy the view Papa. You will forever be in my heart and in my thoughts.
Love you always,
Julie (Jules Verne)

R.I.P. Aldo and thank you for selling me your 1956 orange and white Ford many years ago when I also lived on Chrystal Street. You lived your life serving others and we are all so proud to have known you.

Mr.Aldo was a kind, genuine soul. My family and I couldn’t have asked for better next door neighbors, Anitta & Aldo. Mr.Aldo will be deeply missed, I remember during the summer he would polish his bike or his red car. Normally he’d be outside tidying up his shed or cutting the grass, that’s where you would find him. Anitta would always call out and say, “Hey Al?” as she looked for him. I’ll never forget. Anytime my dad needed help with something at our house, Mr.Aldo was on it! He would always lend a helping hand. His light and kindness will always shine! What an honor it was to have known him.

Mr.Aldo was our neighbor for almost a decade. He was extremely helpful, a great neighbor and always with a smile on his face…always! He would make us laugh with his jokes and greet us whenever he saw us. Mr.Aldo was always ready to help in anyway he could. He will truly be missed. May he rest in peace.
Your next door neighbors,
The Maldonado Family

I'm so sorry for your loss..the video tribute was very sentimental. He lived a good long life and you and family should be proud to have been apart of him. He will always be with you and he leaves behind a role model on how to live life. A wonderful legacy...

I was very sorry to hear of Aldo's passing. I started thinking of him and a random memory jump into my mind. When Aldo was Mayor he use to bring a bag of penny candies to the meetings and share them with the Aldermen especially Kevin Jandernal who sat to his left. There hands would go in and out of the bag like birds pecking at seeds. This memory brought a smile to my face. Aldo was blessed with an abundance of common sense and used it for the benefit of the Dover Community. He loved people and was a passionate advocate for Dover over the many years of his leadership. His sense of humor was endearing. The world was a better place with him in it. He will be missed. He will be missed.

I remember going to the Dover Corner Market, many times to pick up the "best ground beef," in Dover, my mom would send me up to the market with a list. Aldo was always friendly, always had a smile on his face and was always kind. He took the time to speak to his customers and get to know them. Many times, myself and my best friend, who at that time lived right up the street from the store, would go into to buy some things, or her parents would send her up to the store as well. You always felt welcomed at the Dover Corner Market. Aldo, may you Rest in Peace. Heaven has gained an Angel.

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
